David C. Miel Sr.'s Obituary
David C. Miel, Sr., age 67, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021. He was born November 27, 1953 in Muskegon to Henry and Thelma (Smith) Miel, Sr. David was a 1971 graduate of Reeths-Puffer High School and following high school had earned a certificate in small engine repair and welding. On May 14, 1971, he married the love of his life MaryLou Beals in Muskegon, MI.
David was an avid outdoorsman, who loved sharing his knowledge of hunting, with anyone who would listen. He was a fantastic storyteller, with a great sense of humor. Family was his top priority for more than 50 years while he shared his life with MaryLou. He was a very kind and giving person, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He touched everyone’s heart, always leaving the world around him a better place throughout his life’s journey. He found comfort in his last years reading the bible and strengthening his relationship with Our Lord and Savior. His smile and cheerfulness will be remembered with love by his friends, acquittances, and family.
He is survived by his wife, MaryLou; 3 children: David C. (Stephanie) Miel, Jr. of Fremont, Marie (Art) Hamilton of Whitehall, Curtis Miel of Whitehall; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Henry (Roberta) Miel, Jr. of Whitehall; 2 sisters: Dawn Goodrich of Whitehall and Millie (Rod) Richardson of Muskegon; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
PRIVATE family services will be held for David. A Graveside Service will take place in Laketon Twp. Cemetery on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 1:00pm.
