David O'Neal's Obituary
David O’Neal, age 73, passed away Friday, October 4, 2019. He was born January 16, 1946 in Columbus, Mississippi to Iberbill and Magnolia (Dawson) O’Dneal and had been raised by his grandparents. David was a U.S. Army Veteran and had worked at CWC Textron as a foreman until his retirement. He also holds a Doctorate from Baker College in Biblical Studies. On October 5, 2013 he married Lori Gager in Muskegon. David was a motorcycle enthusiast. He loved working on them as well as racing them and had been the former President of the Soul Survivors Motorcycle Club here in Muskegon for many years. David loved gardening, was an excellent cook, and enjoyed camping with family and friends. Many would consider him a jack of all trades (with maybe a little help from Google once in a while). SURVIVORS include his wife, Lori; 12 children: Stefanie (Glenn) Cannon, Davina (Scott) Sheard, Monte O’Neal, Danuel James, David (Kalisha) Morin, Lynnea Acosta, Cassandra Gager, Stanley Irving, Rosie Irving, Melissa Irving, Debbie Irving, George (Deondra) Irving; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Willie O’Dneal and Jr O’Dneal; 2 sisters: Annie Ruth Billings and Gloria O’Dneal; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; son, David O’Neal and a granddaughter, Dominque O’Neal. SERVICES for David will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 10, 2019 at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442 (231) 726-5210. VISITATION with the family will be from 4-8 PM Wednesday, October 9, 2019. Burial will take place in Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI.
