David L. Peterman's Obituary
Mr. David L. Peterman, age 73, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, May 1, 2021 in Petoskey, MI. He was born on May 10, 1947 in Muskegon to Donald and Geneva (Buter) Peterman. On April 19, 1968, Dave married the former Mary VanDuinen in New Era, MI and they spent 53 wonderful years together. Dave enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, and watching NASCAR. He and Mary escaped Michigan winters by traveling to Florida for several years. Most of all, Dave loved the time spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Dave is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Lisa (Jeremy) Matthews and Jason (Amy) Peterman; grandchildren, Kate Matthews, Nick Matthews, Molly Matthews, Hattie Peterman, and Josie Peterman; sister, Sharlene (Jay) Tans; brother, Gordon (Carol) Peterman; four sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law; and several nieces and nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Norm Peterman. An Outdoor Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, May 8 at 3PM under The South Portico at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
