David Lee Raymond's Obituary
David Lee Raymond, age 85, passed away on October 19, 2025. David was born to the late Henry and Ida (Borgeson) Raymond on August 14, 1940 in Muskegon, MI. David, known as Dave to many, served two years in the United States Navy. He spent some time in Battle Creek serving as a medic for the VA before returning to Muskegon. David met the love of his life upon returning and after a short courtship, he married Roslynn Neinhuis on February 14, 1964. Dave spent many years as a member of Muskegon Area social clubs, including 50 years with the Muskegon Eagles, 20+ years of the Vikings, the Vets Club, and the Muskegon Elks. Dave spent many of his younger years traveling and much of his later years sitting in his favorite spot on his upper porch, watching Lake Michigan and reading. Dave was proceeded in death by his parents, his father and mother-in-law Harold and Virginia (Griffin) Neinhuis, older brother Kenneth Raymond, sister-in-law Joan Raymond, brother-in-laws Roger Hilliard and Carl Coffer, nephews Jeff Hilliard, John Coffer, and James Raymond, and grandson Alexander Raymond. Dave is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Roslynn Raymond; son, Matthew (Marie) Raymond; grandchildren, Victor and Freyja Raymond; brothers, James (Donna) Raymond and Robert (Carolyn) Raymond; sisters, Shirley Coffer and Judy Hilliard; sister-in-law, Lana Olman; nieces, Emily (Micheal) Lothschutz, Amanda Pletcher; nephew, Preston Olman; and many more adoring nieces and nephews. Per David’s final wishes, no funeral services will be held. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to The Harbor Hospice Foundation.
