David G. "Willis" Wilke's Obituary
David George “Willis” Wilke, age 69, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020 in Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon on January 8, 1951 to George and Marion (Crozier) Wilke. Dave graduated from Reeths Puffer High School in the class of 1969. Dave Wilke is an American hero, a Vietnam Veteran, who served in the United States Army. Dave really enjoyed river fishing. He spent many hours on the Muskegon River with his twin brother Dan. He enjoyed taking day trips up north and also took many road trips to Elkhart, Indiana, to see some of his best buddies - the FIGs. He also loved working on various projects around his house with his son Jonathan and enjoyed many road trips with his son Brody. Dave is survived by his long-time girlfriend, Tracy Lynn Jager; his children: Jonathan Edward Davis, Brody Joseph Wilke, and Paige (Evan) Noreen Adkins; grandchildren: Jonathan Wilke Davis, Kurstee Rashell Roe, Dimitri Alexander Wilke, Zackary Hunter Wilke, and Anna LouNell Wilke; sister, Sharon (Tim) Corradin; brother, Daniel (Sally) Wilke; special cousins: Roger and A.J.; and many other cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Dave was preceded in death by his wife, Renee (Gillish) Wilke on October 11, 1995 and his parents George and Marion Wilke. We love you Dave “Willis” and miss you already! A memorial service for Dave will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the VFW Post 8846 (1061 Witham Rd., Muskegon, MI 49445).
