David E. Singleton's Obituary
Mr. David E. Singleton, age 82, passed into his Lords loving arms Saturday evening, October 8, 2011. He was born August 14, 1929 in Muskegon to Hubert and Hazel (Frost) Singleton. As a young man he worked on the ore boats on the Great Lakes. He retired from CWC Textron. On October 14, 1950 he married the former Darlene Fralick and she survives him along with 5 children, Diane (Kevin) Smith, Bob (Jane), Steve (Linda), Jim (Sharon), Bruce (Colleen) Singleton; 9 grandchildren, Rodney and Allison Smith, Scot (Carmen), Michael (Michelle), Bill (Anne), and David Singleton, Shannon Franks, Sean and Chase Raymond; and 8 great-grandchildren. He loved to fish and travel. They traveled all over the U.S. including Alaska. He was a long-time member of the Heights Eagles. He loved his Lord, and his church and family were his foundation. He was a member of Laketon Bethel Reformed Church and past member of Green Ridge Christian Reformed Church, where he had taught Sunday School and was an Elder and Deacon. He is also survived by one sister, Nancy (Ed) Dranginis of Florida and one brother, Charles Singleton of California. He was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Singleton and his parents. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Laketon Bethel Reformed Church with the Rev. Dr. Sherwin Brantsen officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Laketon Twp. Cemetery. MEMORIALS to the Muskegon Rescue Mission or the Laketon Bethel Reformed Church Building Fund will be appreciated.
