David H. Burnside's Obituary
David H. Burnside, age 51, of Spring Lake passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008, at a local hospital. He was born September 11, 1956, in Grand Haven to Daniel and Donna Mae (Fase) Burnside, and he married Judith Vaandering on September 2, 1977, in Spring Lake.
Mr. Burnside was a lifelong resident of the Tri-Cities area and was employed as a realtor for Prudential Clyde Hendrick Realtors. He was a member of Spring Lake Presbyterian Church where he enjoyed serving as a sound tech. He was a past president of the Kentwood Jaycees, and he enjoyed boating and camping.
Dave is survived by his loving wife, Judy; his daughter, Anne Burnside of Las Vegas, NV; two sons, Nathan Burnside, currently stationed in Norfolk, VA, and Justin Burnside of Grand Haven; his parents, Dan and Nancy Burnside of Spring Lake and Florida; his father- and mother-in-law, Arend and Barb Vaandering of Spring Lake; a sister, Darcy (Robert) Snippe of Spring Lake; two brothers, Brian (Sharon) Burnside and Bruce Burnside, both of Spring Lake; several other brothers- and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna, and a sister, Debbie.
The service for Dave will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 18, 2008, at Spring Lake Presbyterian Church with Rev. Daniel Anderson officiating. Friends may meet the family 5-7 p.m. Sunday, August 17, at Spring Lake Presbyterian Church. Memorial contributions to the Spring Lake Presbyterian Church Roof Fund are appreciated.
