David H. Welsh's Obituary
Mr. David Welsh, age 69, passed away Wednesday morning, June 29, 2011. He was born October 3, 1941 in Chicago to Harry and Clara (Bokuniewicz) Welsh. Mr. Welsh was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of Vietnam serving as an Air Force Policeman. He worked for E.B.W., Inc. for 25 years before retiring in 1999. Mr. Welsh enjoyed baseball, archery, and riding motorcycles. He was also a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Muskegon. On July 1, 1967 he married the former Linda S. Mathews at St. Micheal Catholic Church in Brunswick and she survives him along with 2 children, David M. Welsh, Darcy Welsh both of Muskegon; grandson, Neil Wade Welsh; sister, Kathy (Del) Brown of Chicago, IL; sister-in-law, Janet Welsh; nephew, Brian (Corrie) Welsh; 2 nieces, Heather Welsh and Kendra (Jamal) Vargas. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Donald and Leonard Welsh. A MEMORIAL MASS will be celebrated 10:30 AM Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at St. Michael of Brunswick with Fr. Roc Majalla presiding. Burial will take place in Holton-Oakwood Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be from 6-9 PM Tuesday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 with a Scripture Service held at 6:00 PM. MEMORIALS to Mercy VNS Hospice, the American Heart Association, or the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.
