Mr. David L. Clark, age 72, went to be with his Lord on January 21, 2011. He was born on June 28, 1938 to Claude and Naomi (Casler) Clark in Amsterdam, New York. He married Janice Northrop in 1992 and she survives him along with one daughter Kristin (Jeff) Williams of Hastings, MI; sons, Stephen (Erin) Clark of Virginia; Jeffrey (Samantha) Anhalt of Spring Lake; Joel (Krista) Anhalt of Arcadia; Jonathan (Erin) Anhalt of Muskegon and 19 very loved grandchildren; brother, Charles (Donna) Clark of Florida; sisters, Doris Ann Clark of New York and Claudia (Larry) Pearson of North Carolina. He served his country in the National Guard, taught school and was a guidance counselor in upstate New York. Dave also worked as a financial advisor. His life took on new meaning and changed within the last two years when he accepted the Lord as his personal Savior. He grew through his Men’s Bible Study and the teaching of his church at Northside Bible Church. We look forward some day to a heavenly reunion. In lieu of flowers Dave would love to know of gifts given to the Christian Care Building Fund or Northside Bible Church. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 3 PM Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Northside Bible Church (1937 North Whitehall Rd.) with Pastor Lowell Wood officiating. VISITATION with the family will be Monday 6-8PM at The Sytsema Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will take place at Laketon Township Cemetery.
