David Lee Moran's Obituary
Mr. David Lee Moran, age 75 passed away Friday morning, May 22, 2009 following a short illness. David was born in Grand Haven on October 11, 1933 to Charles W. and Marrietta (Coates) Moran. The family moved to Norton Twp in 1938 and David was a graduate of Muskegon Hts. H.S. class of 1952. In 1953 he entered the U.S. Army and served his country proudly until returning home in 1955 to marry the former Eloda Springer. Mr. Moran was employed with the Muskegon County Road Commission for 30 years, retiring in 1990. He enjoyed golfing, gardening and in earlier years was an avid softball and baseball player. He is survived by: his wife of 53 years, Eloda; sister, Pat Smithwick of Charlotte, NC; sister-in-law, Dorothy Moran of Muskegon and many-many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
