David R. "Bud" Cashbaugh, Sr.'s Obituary
David R. “Bud” Cashbaugh Sr., age 76, passed away Sunday morning, September 25, 2011, at the Harbor Hospice-Poppen Residence following a long illness. He was born in Muskegon on December 1, 1934 to Russell and Florence (Meyer) Cashbaugh and was a life-long resident of Muskegon. Bud was a 1953 graduate of Muskegon H.S. and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. Mr. Cashbaugh received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance from Michigan Technological University and prior to his retirement was employed at Campbell Grinder Co. Bud was a life member of the Muskegon Elks, BPOE #274 where he was a past exalted ruler, trustee and lodge secretary. He was also a member of the Muskegon Recreation Club, Vets Club, Vikings, Mona Lake Boating Club and numerous other clubs and organizations. Mr. Cashbaugh married the former Ruth Ann Ouwerkerk Musk in 2000 and she survives him along with: his four children, Janet (Bruce) Danz, David (Patricia) Cashbaugh, Jr., James Cashbaugh and Sandra (Dan) Maynard all of Muskegon; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; four step-children, Cindy (Patrick) Magana, Scott (Angie) Musk, Larry (Trisha) Musk and Randy Musk; and a brother, Bruce (Rennell) Cashbaugh of Muskegon. Visitation for family and friends will be held at: The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100, Thursday, 5-7 P.M., concluding with the Elks Lodge of Sorrow at 7:00 P.M.
