David W. Wheeler's Obituary
Mr. David W. Wheeler, age 50, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, May 9, 2011. He was born April 24, 1961 in Muskegon to Weitse and Jean (Stonex) Wheeler and lived in the area his entire life. He worked 15 years as a shift Manager for Taco Bell Restaurant. Dave was a member of Calvary Church of Fruitport and pitched for the Calvary Softball Team. He graduated from Faith Christian School where he served as the basketball statistician for many years. SURIVORS include his parents, Weitse and Jean Wheeler of Muskegon; 1 brother, Gary Wheeler of North Muskegon; 1 sister, Ellen (Brian) Oberg of Marquette, MI; his special niece and nephew, Joy and Jay Oberg of Marquette; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Calvary Church of Fruitport (5873 Kendra, Fruitport) with Pastors Bill Rudd and Terry Fulk officiating. INTERMENT will take place at Lakeside Cemetery. VISITATION will be held 5-8 PM Friday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565. Visitation will also be held one hour before the service, 2-3 PM Saturday, at Calvary Church. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be directed to Calvary Church of Fruitport Building Fund.
