Dawn M. Hallwood's Obituary
Dawn M. Hallwood, age 96, of Fruitport, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, kindness and beautiful memories.
She was born on June 18, 1929, to Irving and Irma Goldner in Grand Rapids, MI. Dawn was a woman whose warmth touched everyone around her. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures - flowers in bloom, time spent gardening, making crafts, gathering with friends for coffee, and sharing thoughts in reading clubs. Above all, Dawn loved being with her family and friends, and those moments meant the most to her. Her gentle heart, kind spirit and the love she shared so freely will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
Dawn is lovingly remembered by her granddaughters, Ashley (Ian) Thavongsa and Taelar Hallwood; grandson, Gary Lococo; two great-granddaughters, Audrey Webb and Aerianna Hallwood; and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Miller who shared a special bond with her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Hallwood; and two sons, David M. Hallwood and Daniel F. Hallwood.
Per Dawn’s wishes cremation will take place and no service will be held. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband and two sons at Hill Crest Memorial Gardens in Owosso, Michigan.
