Dawn Marie White's Obituary
Mrs. Dawn Marie White, age 60, passed away at her home on Sunday, January 7, 2024 after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin on April 26, 1963 to James and Barbara (Dowling) Neuman. In 1981, Dawn graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. She married Brian C. White on July 14, 1984 and they moved to Muskegon, Michigan in 1985 and started their family. Dawn had a knack of turning her interests into side businesses. Those hobbies included gardening, raising parrots, and crafting. She also enjoyed photography, camping, and was always up to travel to a new destination. Dawn loved being active in her family and friends’ lives. One of the last events she was able to attend was the 2024 New Years Eve ball drop downtown Muskegon. Every Fourth of July, Dawn and Brian would put on a fireworks show at their home on West Lake. She also found peace in spending time at their properties on Carlton Creek and the White River. Dawn was an active member of the Twin Lake Gun Club. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Brian; three children, Holly (Andrew Almanza) White, Tiffany (Daniel Rop) White, and Adam (Kelly) White; four grandchildren, Alivia, Colt, Coraline, and Avery; sisters, Mary (Sean) Stratton, Sarah Neuman, and Angela (Mark) Alvarado; brothers, David “Edwin” (Patty) Neuman and Tommy “Bomber” (Carla) Neuman; and many loving nieces, nephews, adopted grandchildren, and friends. Dawn was preceded in death by her parents, James Neuman and Barbara Spevacek; sister, Tiffany Neuman; and nephew, Eric Neuman. VISITATION will be held from 9:00 – 11:00 AM Saturday, January 13, 2024 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. Her MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 13, 2024 at The Lee Chapel.
