LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THE MAN...
DEAN BROUGHT ME TO MUSKEGON TO OPEN THE J.C.PENNEY PHARMACY IN 1971, AND KICK-START MY 50 YEAR CAREER IN THE PHARMACY BUSINESS. HE HELPED DIRECT ME INTO THE CORRECT PATHS OF THE BUSINESS WORLD AND FAMILY LIFE. HE WAS ABLE TO BEND THE TWIG IN EVERYONE'S YOUNG LIFE TO BE SUCCESSFUL TO THE FULLEST...JUST ASK ANYONE...!
ALL WHO KNEW HIM WILL FOREVER THANK HIM FOR THAT...
SINCERELY, STEPHEN A. BARANEC, RPh, EMERITUS.
DEAN RECKNAGEL, WOW....WHAT AN EXCEPTIONAL FAMILYMAN AND INDIVIDUAL...!
HE BROUGHT ME TO MUSKEGON TO OPEN HIS J.C.PENNY PHARMACY IN 1971.
A FLOOD OF STORIES WOULD FOLLOW, DON'T GET ME STARTED...! THE MOST MEMORABLE STORY I STILL TELL TODAY IS THAT HIS WRIST WATCH WOULD STOP JUST BEFORE HE HAD TO BE AT THE SHIFT CHANGE IN THE PHARMACY...ALAS,TO HIS CREDIT, IT WAS A WIND UP...!
I WILL SADLY MISS THE BEST, INDEPENDENT PHARMACY OWNER/BOSS IN MY 50 YEAR CAREER....
STEPHEN A. BARANEC, R.PH., EMERITUS.

So sorry for your loss. I remember him from D&W pharmacy - he frequently would come out from behind the counter to talk to us as I tried to corral my 3 boys when they were young. He was very kind and always friendly.
