Deborah Ann Schaefer's Obituary
Mrs. Deborah Ann Schaefer, 72, passed away Monday afternoon, September 5, 2022, in Muskegon. She was born April 23, 1950, in Muskegon to Gordon and Harriet (Carpenter) Small and lived much of her life in the W. Michigan area. She was a member of the Shelby Road Baptist Church. She enjoyed Cooking, Reading, Piano, Singing, Spending time with Children and Grandchildren, Boating, Sewing, Church Activities, and Travel…. On December 7, 1968, Deborah married Rev David L. Schaefer and he survives her along with three children: Jennifer (Richard) Lambert, Jason (Andrea) Schaefer, Sarah (Lt. Commander Michael) Dykema; daughter-in-law: Ginger Schaefer; ten grandchildren; one sister Miriam (Floyd) Wolcott; one brother David (Barbara) Small. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Love Joy Schaefer, and her parents. A service to remember and celebrate Deborah’s life will be held Saturday, September 10, at the Shelby Road Baptist Church, 4066 W Shelby Road, Shelby, Mi, Visitation at 10 am, Celebration at 11, Luncheon following. Contributions in her memory may be made to Harbor Hospice, or Shelby Road Baptist Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E.
