Debra V. "Deb" Goerbig's Obituary
Debra “Deb” Violet Goerbig, 64, passed away May 30, 2023, at her home in Muskegon due to illness, surrounded by her family. She was born May 11, 1959, in Grant, MI to Arthur and Betty (Miller) Goerbig. Deb was raised in Ravenna, MI and graduated from Ravenna High School in 1977. She went to work immediately after graduation at Bill Mar Foods/Request Foods for 45 years, before retiring. She is survived by her siblings: Art (Holly) Goerbig of Ravenna, Sue (Jim) Coddington of Conklin, Rick Goerbig of Ravenna, Gary (Kimberly) Goerbig of Muskegon; nieces and nephews: Tracy, Casey, Scott, Amanda, Debbie, Robert, Cassie, John, Ricky, Melissa, and Gary Lee; several great-nieces and nephews, and a few great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Deb loved to travel, camp, and most important to her was spending time with her family. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. The family will be having a celebration of Deb’s life at the American Legion Hall, 3590 Conklin St., Ravenna, MI, on Sunday, July 16, 2023, from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442.
