DeLaura Jane Peterson's Obituary
Mrs. DeLaura Jane Peterson age 87, passed away on April 18, 2014. She was born in Minnesota to Oscar and Ellen Johnson. She married Russell in 1946 and they enjoyed 59 years of marriage together before his passing on December 14, 2005. She worked as an electronics technician at VM Corporation for over 25 years. DeLaura enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, traveling and family vacations. Her focus in life was always on her family. She was a strong-willed, optimistic, cheerful individual who will be deeply missed. SURVIVORS include her son Loren (JoAnn); grandchildren, Kurt, Kevin (Heather) and Ryan (Crystl) Peterson; grandchildren, Tyler, Faith, Clarissa, Anders, and Soren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Linden; and sisters, Darlene and Genevieve. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday April 23, 2014 at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the start of the service. INTERMENT will be at Cornell Cemetery in Buckley MI at 12:30 on Friday April 25, 2014. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS can be made to Harbor Hospice.
