To the most wonderful and interesting neighbor anyone had the opportunity to have. Even if we moved away more than 40 years ago,my family has always known you as our neighbor, friend, protector, especially when one of us got in trouble. We knew our hides were protedcted, you never turned us in(to the folks). Many unforgetable memories,many cherished conversations, much side splitting laughter. Forever in my memory, forever in our legacy. No-one has ever had a better neighbor and life long friends,called 'the Gardeners'. Phil, Orv, we love you and will miss your folks. I first met Ila at my Pet Grooming shop when one day this little senior citizen lady walked in with her German Shepard Mix dog named Leroy Brown. You wouldn't have expected that type of dog at the end of her leash - a poodle, maybe, a yorkie or even a schnauzer but not this 85 lb German Shepard Mix! But the strong love that they shared was evident. She was a firm "dog mom" insisting that her big baby behave, which he did most of the time! We truly looked forward to Ila's monday appointments to
share conversation about Avon, pet ownership, Spring Lake Politics and garage sale bargains. I have had only a handful of people in my life that I have truly loved and felt a special attachment to, and Ila was one of them. Orv and Phil
Your mom has suffered for a long time. I didn't know she was om Hospice. So was Gil when he died October 25. The old gang has "thinned"down to just a few.
