Delores E. Beighley's Obituary
Delores E. Beighley, age 92, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 9, 1932 in Luther, MI to John and Frances (Simpson) Schlueter.
On July 22, 1950, she married Leon Beighley and together celebrated 72 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on December 13, 2022.
She was a long time member of First Wesleyan Church where she was active as church secretary for over 30 years, taught Sunday School, sang special music with Leon and family, and sang in the choir. Delores retired as an Executive Secretary at GTE for close to 30 years.
SURVIVORS include four children, Dr. David (Karen) Beighley, Janet (Rev. Keith) Moreen, Susan (Terry) Whittum and Linda (Greg) Luckey; 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; sister, Dorothy Wright; brother, John Schlueter; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Virgil and Barbara Beighley. Also preceding Delores in death was sister, Donna; and brother, Dennis.

FUNERAL SERVICES for Delores will be 11AM Friday, May 24, 2024 at First Wesleyan Church (1040 E. Forest Ave. Muskegon) with Pastor Jeremy Lenertz officiating. VISITATION with her family will be one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Delores’ name may be made to First Wesleyan Church or Muskegon Rescue Mission. Burial will take place in Norton Cemetery.
