Delores R. Bleich's Obituary
Delores Rae Bleich, age 79, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, in Spring Lake, MI. Delores was born on August 7, 1942, in Muskegon, MI to her parents John and Erma (Murphy) DeVries. She graduated from Muskegon High School in 1960, and shortly after married Richard Bleich, and they spent 41 wonderful years together until he preceded her in death in 2001. Delores worked for many years as a librarian for Grand Haven Public Schools, and was a longtime member at Spring Lake Presbyterian, where she participated in a weekly Bible Study with Rev. Dan Anderson. Delores was a very positive person who was always the life of the party. She enjoyed taking trips to Florida, Gulf Shores, AL, and up to the family Cabin in Dublin, MI. The family has many fond memories of the annual deer camp at the family cabin and spending weekends at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge in Twin Lake. She loved thrift shopping, volunteering for her Church’s food bank, and making blankets for the Linus Club, but more than anything she loved spending time with her family. Delores will be lovingly remembered by her two sons: Rick Bleich and Greg (Rose) Bleich; four grandchildren: Nicholas Long, Keiran Bleich, Erica Long, and Sydney Bleich; three great-grandchildren: Brayden, Sawyer, and Ferris; four siblings: Phyllis (Russell) Bleich, James (Evelyn) DeVries, Deborah (Greg) Mankin, and Mary (Mike) Abbott; many nieces and nephews; close friends, Carol Lange and Judy Tanis; and her beloved cat, Bella. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Richard Bleich; brother, Richard DeVries; and sister, Rita Pepin. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be taking place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 30 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444, with VISITATION taking place an hour prior.
