Mrs. Delores May Branch's Obituary
Delores May Branch was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus Monday afternoon, December 21, 2015 at the age of 83. Delores was born May 5, 1932 in Muskegon to Roy and Cordia (Jeffords) Cooper. She was happily united in Heaven with husband, Lee; parents; brother, Donnie; son-in-law, Stan Johnson, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Howard and Carmen Branch; and sister-in-law, Helen Fox. On March 31, 1951 she married Leland W. Branch. They were married for 61 years. Delores had worked for Teledyne Continental Motors for 9 ½ years and then later worked for Meijer for several years before retiring in 1993. She was a longtime member of Covenant Community Church where she volunteered for MAP Supper House Ministry and the Covenant Youth Summer Recreation Program. She was also a part of DeColores #28. Delores enjoyed baking, shopping, making crafts but mainly being around her family and friends. She also had a special love for animals and a passion for clothes and jewelry. Among those left to carry on her legacy of love is her daughter, Lori Johnson of Muskegon; her son, Scott Branch of Fruitport; her daughter by grace, Brenda (David) Clark; grandchildren, Eric Johnson of Twin Lake; Rob Clark of Muskegon, Courtney Clark of Washington, D.C. and Faith Clark of Muskegon; and several nieces and nephews. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 2 PM Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Covenant Community Church, 134 E. Barney Ave. with Rev. Mark and Rev. Miriam Bush co-officiating. VISITATION will be Saturday from 2-5 PM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100. Interment will be in Mona View Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to Covenant Community Church.
