Delores Lou Carson's Obituary
Delores Lou Carson, age 83, with family at her side, passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 22, 2012, at the Harbor Hospice–Poppen Residence following injuries she sustained in an auto accident on Easter Sunday. She was born in Muskegon on December 17, 1928 to Carl and Beatrice (Hansen) Benson and was a 1947 graduate of Ravenna H.S. Mrs. Carson was a retired school bus driver for Ravenna Public Schools and was a member of the American Legion Post Auxiliary in Ravenna. Delores is survived by 2 sons, Michael (Marlynn) Carson of Arvada, CO and Chris Carson of Kingsley, MI; 2 daughters, Chari (Tom) Hoffman of Harbor Springs and Kathy (Loren) Rose of Muskegon; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 cousins, Sharon Schillaci & Neda Lee; and special friend, Bob Stuthard. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Vicky and 2 brothers, Richard & Douglas Benson. In honor of her wishes, a celebration of life reception will be held 12:30 PM, Monday at Wolf Lake United Methodist Church, 370 Vista Terrace. She will be laid to rest in Polkton Cemetery, Coopersville. Memorial Contribution: Harbor Hospice.
