Delores J. Collinge's Obituary
Mrs. Delores J. “Lynn” Collinge, 89, passed away peacefully in her family’s loving embrace Saturday evening, October 14, 2017, to be with all her loved ones who have gone before her. May the everlasting light and love of God be with Lynn now and forever until we joyfully meet again. She was born June 3, 1928 to Lester and Sophia (Rybski) Leonard in Chicago, and lived most of her life in the Muskegon area. Mrs. Collinge was active with the Greater Muskegon Woman’s Club from 1964 – 1990 and was the President from 1976-1977. She was the chairperson of the Middle Lake Improvement Association from 1991-2008, enjoyed bowling with the Elk’s Wednesday afternoon league, snowmobiling, canoeing, golfing and hunting. On October 11, 1947 she married John M “Jack” Collinge, and he preceded her in death on August 18, 1991. Survivors include 3 children, Patti (Tom) Herron, John (Pat) Collinge, Allen (Teresa) Collinge; 1 son-in-law, Mark Stewart; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Marilyn (Jack) Blackmer, Pat (Dale) Zessack; 1 sister-in-law, Arlene Leonard. She was also preceded in death by 1 daughter, Laurie Stewart; 1 sister, Alice Wilken; and 1 brother, Jim Leonard. The funeral service for Mrs. Collinge will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 18, at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100, with Pastor John H. Brown officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Twin Lake Cemetery.
