Delores Joanne Rudis' Obituary
Delores Joanne Rudis, lovingly known as Joanne, passed peacefully into the presence of her Savior after a life marked by faith, love, kindness, and devotion to family. Born on August 28, 1932, Joanne lived a life that reflected the love of Jesus Christ in both word and action.
Joanne was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart. Her faith journey began when she attended a church service with her dear friend Dessi, where she gave her life to Christ. From that moment forward, her relationship with Jesus became the foundation of her life. She faithfully prayed for many years for her husband, Richard Rudis, to come to know the Lord as well, and those prayers were answered before his passing in 1983.
Though gentle and caring, Joanne was also a tomboy at heart. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, taking them to play golf, football, tennis, and many other activities that created lifelong memories. She had a servant’s heart and found joy in giving to others. No visitor ever left her home empty-handed, and this same generosity became especially evident to the staff and residents at her assisted living home, where she continued to share kindness and love with everyone around her.
One of Joanne’s most treasured qualities was her unwavering expression of love. She never let anyone leave without telling them, “I love you.” Those words became a lasting gift to all who knew her.
Joanne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Rudis; her daughter, Gaye; her parents; and all six of her siblings.
She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Sue (Randy) Morse; grandsons, Adam (Kim) Morse and Aaron (Jayme) Morse; son-in-law, Eric Rollins; granddaughter, Meghan Rollins; and her five cherished great-grandchildren, Madison, Maxton, Macie, Brady, and Mason. She is also survived by her dear best friend, Bev Halgren, whose friendship meant so much throughout the years.
Joanne also shared a very special bond with her nieces, Pam and Linda, who faithfully called, checked on her often, and lovingly sent her gifts. Their constant thoughtfulness and care brought Joanne tremendous joy and comfort throughout her later years.
Her family rejoices in knowing that she is now reunited with her Savior and loved ones in Heaven. Joanne’s legacy of faith, prayer, generosity, and unconditional love will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know her.
