Delores (Veal) Spears' Obituary
Mrs. Delores (Veal) Spears, age 67, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, May 23, 2021. She was born in Muskegon, MI on September 1, 1953, to Allen C. Veal and Carrie Lee. She attended Muskegon High School and graduated in 1971. Delores was employed for many years as a machine operator for General Motors until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time at church, with her family, friends, and attending concerts, and she was also very fashion oriented. Delores had a passion for children, and she later joined the Foster Grandparent organization that spread love to all the children. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member at Spring Street Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Dwayne Banks. She was also a member of the Nurses Guild. Delores is survived by her daughters, Carlita Bunts and Angela Bunts both of Muskegon, MI; 3 grandchildren, Amanda Dooley, Amonda Dooley, and Maniah Dooley all of Muskegon, MI; 6 great grandchildren, Janiah Wilkerson, Raquan Atkinson, Gionna Dooley, Jasean Miller, Aminah Dooley, and Nyala Graves; two brothers, Melvin (Dobry) Veal, Lamarr ( Barbara) Veal; one sister, Claudine Veal- Williams; sister in law, Ruthie Veal; special friends, Carolyn Walker, Lynette Martin- Harris, Beverly and Rodney Hall; host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Joe Raymond Spears, special friends Deborah Briggs and Sawanda Tillery. A PUBLIC VISITATION for will be held 2 hours prior to service. Masks will be required. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, June 4, 2021, at Spring Street Baptist Church 912 Spring St, Muskegon, MI 49442 with Pastor Dwayne Banks, officiating.
