Delores Spyke's Obituary
Mrs. Delores M. (‘nee Cole) Spyke, age 73, died Friday afternoon, September 26, 2003, in Whitehall, MI. She was born February 14, 1930 in Muskegon to Dewey & Lillian (Coad) Cole and had been a life resident of the area. Delores had been a Chemical Analyst for Anaconda Wire & Cable Mfg. (Atlantic Richfield) for 25 years prior to her retirement in 1975. She then worked at Spyke’s Clothing for 10 years. Delores enjoyed flower gardening and traveling. On June 26, 1948 she married Louis F. Spyke and he survives her along with 2 sons, Thomas (Tonia) Spyke of Big Springs, NE and David (Patty) Spyke of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren, Christopher , Shaunna and Meghan Spyke of Nebraska, Jordan and Dustin Spyke of Muskegon; 2 sisters-in-law, Louise (Leo) Allen and Betty Ringleberg, all of Muskegon. Her parents and her brother, Robert Cole, preceded her in death. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., 231-759-8565. Final interment will be in Laketon Twp. Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to the Alzheimer’s Association will be appreciated.
