Mrs. Delores "Tootie" Tardani's Obituary
Mrs. Delores “Tootie” Tardani, age 85, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother entered eternal life on April 26, 2017, in Muskegon. She was born September 22, 1931 to Rose and Isidor Huss in Muskegon and resided here all of her life. She was a longtime member of the former St. Joseph Catholic Church, and presently is a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. In 1951, she married Martin Tardani and they were together for 39 years when Mart died in 1990. She was a homemaker and devoted mother of 7 loving children. Delores volunteered for the American Red Cross and ushered at the Frauenthal Center of Performing Arts. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going dancing, walking by the channel, and family reunions at lake cottages. Memories of her life will always be with her family. She is survived by 6 children, Barb Naperalsky, Mary (Leo) Varela, Joanne (Bob) Cunningham, Janice (Pat) Carrigan, Dan (Kathy) Tardani, and Christopher Tardani; 15 grandchildren, Darci, Demi , Paul, Michael, Stacey, Eric, Brian, Jamie, Melissa, Jenna, Jessie, Renee, Sam, Anna and Matthew; 6 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Nancy Tardani; one loving brother, Gordon (Betty) Huss; one sister, several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews; She was also preceded in death by a son Michael in 2001, 4 brothers and 2 sisters; and her special friend and loving companion of many years, Harold Garber. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church Tuesday, May 2, at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Fr. Charles D. Hall presiding. Entombment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565 will be from 6-8 PM Monday evening. You may visit the family’s online guestbook at www.sytsemafh.com. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Tardani may be made to Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry.
