DeMarcus LaMone Davis' Obituary
DeMarcus LaMone Davis was born on June 16, 1976, to the union of Rickie and Sheila Davis. Born and raised in Muskegon, MI where he remained until his untimely transition. He attended Muskegon Public Schools and received his G.E.D. at Muskegon Skill Training Center. As a child, he attended Peck Street Church of Christ in Muskegon Heights, MI. He grew to become a hard-working man; he had been employed since he was 15 years old. He was employed with MHS Conveyor Corporation.
Growing up, he was a faithful Little League baseball player, and quite savvy with sports. He dabbled in boxing and enjoyed playing around with his many cousins and friends. DeMarcus, or “Marcus” as he was affectionately known by most, had an affinity for cars, engines, and machines. He obtained his CDL Class A certification for “OTR” truck driving and certification in Basic CNC machinery and OSHA. He enjoyed racing RC (radio-controlled) cars and building motors for his cars. He embraced the outdoors and fishing was especially one of his favorite pastimes. His friends/classmates say he was the “class clown” and loved by everyone. Marcus loved dogs, breeding them, raising them, and just being with them. He knew dogs like the back of his hand and was good at his craft. His other favorite thing to do above raising dogs was spending quality time with his daughters, Daveia and Amolliea. Marcus adored his girls. He was a great, loving father... strict and stern but he did it all with love and compassion. Marcus was a fun-loving dad, goofy at times, but he always had words of encouragement to pass along. He was also a pretty good cook. Seldom saw him with a smile, but when he did, he had the brightest smile. Our beloved Marcus will be missed and remembered by all who came to know him.
He leaves to cherish his legacy, his two daughters, Daveia and Amolliea, his parents, Rickie Davis and Sheila Davis, his sisters, Tammi Pipkins, Shawtain Davis, Shavon Davis, and Dezanie Davis; his brother, Edris Davis; special Aunt, Vicky Davis, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
DeMarcus was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, John and Leola Joshway and his paternal grandparents, Henry and Susie Davis.
