Denise Rae "Niecy" Taylor-Warne's Obituary
Denise Rae "Niecy" Taylor-Warne, 52, passed away unexpectedly Sunday at her residence. Born Feb. 20, 1957 in Muskegon to Kenneth and Diane (Bennett) Carlson, she graduated from Whitehall High School in 1975 and had lived in Whitehall, Grand Haven and Muskegon before settling in Ferrysburg. Denise had been employed by Tennant Co. in Holland until a few years ago. She married Robert J. “Bob” Warne on Feb. 14, 2006, and together they owned and operated Scentastics, which brought them many craft-show friends. Denise’s SURVIVORS include her husband, Bob; her son, Kenneth Taylor of Grand Haven; her mother, Diane Carlson-Stone of Muskegon; sisters: Cindy (Tom) Thielman of Norton Shores, Linda (Robert) Lerner of Dalzell, SC, and Sherri (John) Carlson-Harding of Twin Lake; several aunts and uncles including her special Aunt Joni; nieces and nephews: Robbie, Lindsay, Jordan, Lauren and Taylor Rae; her best friend, Deb Rollenhagen; and her beloved dog, Bella. Her father, Kenneth Carlson, predeceased Denise. The FUNERAL SERVICE for Denise will be held 1:30 P.M. Thursday, July 9, 2009 at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444, (231)-798-1100, with Rev. Jonathan Rager officiating and interment in Oakhurst Cemetery in Whitehall. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 P.M.
