I just saw the notice of Dennis’ passing and am sorely aggrieved! Though I only knew Dennis a short period of my life, he was someone I looked up to and considered to be a kindred spirit. Wise beyond his years. Always quick to laugh. Generous with his time. An intelligence next to none. A lover of his family. A lover of animals. My friend. The world is diminished with his loss.

I am so sad and disappointed to hear this news. Dennis and I were debate partners, active in forensic competitions, and friends during high school. I have followed him on Facebook for many years and always appreciated his thoughtful, intelligent, insightful, balanced, and well-researched comments on world affairs.
