Dennis L. Kaiser's Obituary
Dennis died at home on Monday, August 3, 2021 after a very brave battle with a strain of Coronavirus. Never have we seen such courage and honor. Dennis was born to two wonderful parents, Francis J. and Ruth M. Kaiser, who are both deceased, but their lives were a true image of nothing less than heroic. They taught him, through example, how to be faithful, truthful, courageous, and kind and how to put in an honest day’s work. He was the brother to Frank L. (Jan) Kaiser (both deceased), Ronald (Vicki) Kaiser, and Fred (Nancy) Kaiser, Sr. (Fred is deceased). These four brothers were always there for each other. This family was an example of closeness and respect. When one of the brothers had a project, big or small the other brothers jumped in to help, EVERY time! When Dennis decided to build his home, his father and all three of his brothers were right there to pitch in.
His pride and joy was his daughter, Shana Robbins. He was so proud of her and all of her accomplishments. Even though she has always lived out of town, he found any opportunity to talk to her on the phone. She called him frequently and he looked so forward to each phone call. Whenever she could come and visit, he would get so excited. He loved having her over and couldn’t wait to hear of her excursions.
Dennis met his wife Dawn Boisvert, in 1991. They were the perfect match and enjoyed each other’s company so much! Never has there been a man that loved his wife as much as Dennis. The only time they had any trouble was when they got into a conversation and started tripping over each other trying to talk. Dennis usually won. He was a king of conversation! It took him 2 hours to walk around the block if any neighbors were out!
His favorite thing to do was construction work. He had his own business, Dennis Kaiser Builder. He took pride in his work and always made sure every corner was square and every angle was perfect. Yes, it took him longer to do a job than other builders, but his work was exquisite – nothing less than perfection. His second favorite thing to do was fish and hunt. He so enjoyed sitting in a boat, on a bank of a river, or out in the woods and taking in all the beauty God created. He would come home with many stories of what he saw. And he ALWAYS came home with fish or a deer for the freezer.
Dennis received the Holy Eucharist and was baptized and confirmed into the Catholic faith on Easter of 2000 at St. Thomas Catholic Church. It was the most wonderful experience as husband and wife. Dennis was so filled with the Holy Spirit, even years later. It was amazing how wonderful his life was after receiving the light of Christ. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and attended a weekly bible study for years.
Dennis also served in Viet Nam and had a deep respect for the American Flag. Dennis always displayed the flag on a tall flag pole in his front yard. Life will be less colorful without Dennis in it.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00AM, Friday, August 6 at St. Thomas Catholic Church (3252 Apple Ave., 49442). Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 10-11:00AM. Burial will take place immediately after the funeral service at Egelston Twp. Cemetery where Military Honors will be rendered. Arrangements by The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442.
