Dennis Donald Knoll's Obituary
Mr. Dennis Donald Knoll, age 75, passed away Monday, December 12, 2016 at his home in Newaygo on the Muskegon River. He was born in Muskegon on April 9, 1941. Denny was a 1959 graduate of Fremont High School and had attended Muskegon Business College. He had been employed as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Shaw Walker/Knoll Inc. for 43 years before his retirement in 2003. Denny was a life-member of the Lakeside Veterans Club and a Golden Age Eagle through the Muskegon Aerie 668. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and was a loyal University of Michigan fan. On September 15, 1979, Denny married the former Mary Gradisher in Muskegon and she survives him along with two children, Martha Knoll-Loader and Dennis D. (Jodi) Knoll II; six grandchildren, Amanda (Andy) Seidel , Melissa Knoll, Kyle (Diana) Loader, Caitlin (Brian) Broek, Brianne Knoll-Loader and Ethan Knoll; four great-grandchildren, Conner Broek, Colton and Devin Loader and Thea Seidel; three sisters, Dorothy (Ivory) Jordan of Fremont, Marva (Jerry) Turner of Newaygo and Darlene Carr of Ludington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marilyn Sanders of Centre, AL, Carline Knoll of Newaygo, Robert (Alice) Gradisher of Grayson, GA, Duane (Monica) Gradisher of Stanwood, Ed Gradisher of Muskegon and Joe (Bonnie Orr) Gradisher of Alexandria, VA; and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeannette (Zylman) and Charles Ranger and two brothers, Richard Knoll and Tim Sanders. SERVICES will be 2:00 PM Thursday, December 15, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Rev. John Brown officiating. VISITATION will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday and from 1-2 PM Thursday at the funeral home. In honor of Denny, his family asks that you please wear your favorite University of Michigan clothing to his services and visitation. Burial will take place in Lakeside Cemetery. MEMORIALS in Denny’s memory may be directed to Harbor Hospice or charity of your choice.
