Mr. Dennis J. Wolffis' Obituary
Mr. Dennis J. Wolffis, 82, went to be with his Lord Tuesday afternoon, August 19, 2014. He was born February 10, 1932 to Jack G. and Henrietta (Bishop) Wolffis in Muskegon, and lived all of his life here. Den worked at Nichols Paper for many years, was a lifelong member of Allen Avenue Christian Reformed Church, and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. On May 14, 1958 he married Marva Jean Dykema, and she preceded him in death on January 27, 2006. SURVIVORS include his 3 children, Jack (Sherrie) Wolffis, Jill (Brian) Schuitema, Jean (Bob) Botting, all of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren, Jessica and Jake Wolffis; John, Bethany, and Tim Schuitema; Ben, Joe, and Dan Botting; 1 great-grandchild, Faith Wolffis; 1 brother, Alan (Sandie) Wolffis of Whitehall; 1 sister-in-law, Thelma Wolffis of Grand Rapids. He was also preceded in death by his brother Irwin Wolffis. THE FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 23, at the Allen Avenue Christian Reformed Church, with Reverend Jeff Boersma officiating.
