Denver "Doug" Seabolt's Obituary
Denver “Doug” Louis Seabolt, age 90, passed away in Fremont, MI, on Friday, September 8, 2023. Doug was born on December 26, 1932, in Mancelona, MI, but lived most of his life in the Muskegon area, working as an electrician for Shaw Box Crane Co. for over 40 years. Doug loved spending time outside, whether it was snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, planting pine trees, or just sitting on the porch watching the wildlife. In his younger years he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and building houses. He enjoyed traveling with his family, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Doug will be lovingly remembered by his three sons: Jerry (Diane) Seabolt, Randy (Renee) Seabolt, and Mike (Velma) Seabolt; eight grandchildren: Tammy, Heidi, Angela, Sean, Alyssa, Valerie, Ted, and Stephanie; and 19 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Doug was preceded in death by his parents: Edward and Sylvia (Straight) Seabolt; son, Ted Seabolt; three grandchildren: Chad, Cristina, and Michelle; and all six of his siblings: Everett, Edward, Bill, Arlie, Roseanna, and Lawrence.
A FUNERAL SERVICE will be taking place for Doug at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444, with VISITATION taking place an hour prior.
