Diane L. Carlson's Obituary
Diane L. Carlson, age 67, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 27, 2023. She was born on May 21, 1956, to Woodrow and Sarah (Fuqua) Drake in Muskegon, MI which has always been home to her. She graduated from Orchard View High School class of 1974. Diane continued her schooling at Baker College where she earned her associate degree focusing on accounting. She dedicated over 20+ years working a job she truly enjoyed as a postal carrier for the United States Postal Service. Diane loved the friendly faces she came across daily on her routes. She enjoyed being outdoors, whether she was out on the water boating or hiking through the woods. Diane also liked making homemade baked goods. Above all, she had an unconditional love for her children and grandson. Diane was a loving mother, wonderful grandma, and amazing friend. She will always be remembered for her outgoing, positive and sky is the limit personality. Diane’s caring and tender-loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her three children; Sarah Carlson, Mark Carlson and Daniel Carlson; grandson, Oliver Hunt; and many dear friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow (Sarah) Drake. A Graveside Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Fruitland Township Cemetery, 3840-3898 Lorenson Rd, Muskegon, MI 49445, with pastor Terry Turner officiating.
