Diane Lee LaPointe's Obituary
Diane LaPointe passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday March 31, 2013. She was 71 years old. Diane was born on August 27, 1941 to Harry and Emily (Pavlich) Camet. She spent most of her life in the Muskegon area. Diane was blessed with four children and was fulfilled by her work as a case worker for the Department of Human Services for 13 years. She enjoyed bowling, traveling and had a love for music and current events. Diane was a pastoral musician for many years and was involved in the Cursillo/ Decolores, and Pax Christi movements. She was a generous, caring, passionate person who will be deeply missed. SURVIVORS include her life partner of 34 years Robin Brand; 2 daughters, Terri Brewer, and Dana (Tony) LaHaie; 2 sons, Mark Overly and Randy (Lisa) Overly; 9 grandchildren: Travis Brewer, Beth Ochoa, Stephanie Smith, Randy Overly Jr, James Overly, Scott Overly, Jessica Finster, Mathew Blessman, and Sierra LaHaie; 1 sister Darlene (Wayne) Firestone; 1 brother-in-law Rodger Wood; 2 neices;2 nephews; dear friends; and 3 beloved dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister Linda Wood. SERVICES will be held at 1pm on Saturday April 6 at The Lee Chapel 6291 S Harvey St. 231-798-1100. VISITATION will be held on Friday, April 5, from 5:30-7:30 and one hour prior to the service. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS can be made to the Father Jack foundation or the Noah Project.
