Diane K. Sickles' Obituary
Diane K. Sickles, age 69 passed away Saturday morning, November 14, 2020. She was born on June 22, 1951, to Waldo and Beulah (Rahm) Fine in Greenville, OH. Diane has lived all over the country throughout her life, but Michigan has been her home the last 27 years. She worked as an administrative assistant for Advanced Financial Planning and other companies while living in various places across the country. On July 4, 1972, she married the love of her life, Cliff Sickles in Spartanburg, SC. Together they cherished 48 years full of love, laughter and plenty of adventure. She was a woman of faith who was a long-time member at Trinity Lutheran Church. She was the librarian at West Shore Lutheran School for over 10 years and considered the work that she did with the children of West Shore as the most important work of her life. Diane was an avid golfer and sports fanatic. She enjoyed cheering for her favorite football teams, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes, and supporting her grandchildren at their sporting events. She was an avid reader, and she enjoyed cooking and cross stitch needlepoint. Diane was an adventurous woman, and she and Cliff loved traveling together. Diane always brought the fun to any event she attended; she was always so bubbly and charismatic, and truly enjoyed having a good time. She was certainly a people person and very outgoing. Her tender-loving and vivacious spirit will truly be missed by her many friends and her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Clifton Sickles; daughter, Andrea (Scott) Drier; 2 grandchildren, Julia Drier and Christopher Drier; sister, Deborah (Thomas) Wilson; brother, David (Cheryl) Fine; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30AM on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3225 Roosevelt Rd., Muskegon, MI 49441. Visitation with the family will be held one-hour prior. Arrangements entrusted to The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Diane’s honor can be made directly to West Shore Lutheran School, 3225 Roosevelt Rd., Muskegon, MI 49441.
