Diane Z. Tardani's Obituary
Diane Z. Tardani, age 80, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at home. She was born on September 26, 1939 to John and Myrle (Welton) Zappone in Muskegon, MI where she has lived her entire life. She was a faithful servant of her Lord and Savior and was a long-time member at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She worked as an interior designer for 40 plus years for various companies, before she worked independently and retired in 1998. On March 17, 1999 Diane married Phillip Tardani in Las Vegas, NV. Together they cherished 21 years of love and laughter. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2017. Diane was a people person and enjoyed being sociable. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus, America Legion, Eagles, Vikings, and Country Club. She had quite the green thumb and enjoyed maintaining her flower garden. She and Phil loved to travel and spending time with their friends at dinner parties. She was a vivacious woman who could be found out dancing or spending hours out on a shopping spree. Above all things, she loved late night sleep overs with her great-grandchildren. She was known for her big heart and always putting others before herself. She was a feisty yet tender-loving woman who will truly be missed by many. She is survived by her 2 children, Kirk Bowen and Gina (Nihl “Stu”) Brannam; 3 grandchildren, Angela (Chuck Hekkema) Franklin, Alicia Poulin and Trey Bowen; 5 great-grandchildren, Davis, Aron, Domenic, Brielle and Makayla; and longtime friends, Rita and Tony Krol. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Chuck Anderson; aunt, Doris (Herbert) Ginman; uncles, Tony and Bill Zappone; and grandparents, Domenic (Angelina) Zappone. A private family service will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held from 5-9:00 PM on Friday, September 18, 2020 at Hagars Hideaway, 3156 Lakeshore Dr., Muskegon, MI 49441. In honoring Diane, the family is encouraging those coming to wear black, white or red attire. Arrangements entrusted to The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 W.
