Diane, Marcia Howe, Sue Strah Swigert, Susan Gray, and Diane Wood, all taught together at the now closed Phillips School. Our school break room was often filled with raucous laughter at lunch time. Letting off steam is an important tool for us all. Our minds and hearts were packed with teaching methods and how to help our students. But always the Laughter is one of my best memories.
Words fail to capture the depth of this loss, but I’ll forever cherish the indelible mark she left on my heart. I fondly recall her allowing us to venture into the teacher’s lounge to indulge in treats whenever we excelled in spelling tests. She even took me and another student to Pizza Hut during the summer vacation, celebrating our advancement to the next grade. I ran into her as an adult many years ago, and she instantly knew who I was. It was so good to see her. She was more than just a teacher; she was a radiant soul whose absence will be deeply felt.
As a former student, I am sad to hear of Ms. Craymer’s passing. A core memory I have is when she brought myself and 2 or other students to Ponderosa after getting 100% on our spelling tests for a month.
I met Dianne when I taught a Phillips School. She was a wonderful person and a fantastic teacher. Her classes adored her., so kind and gentle. Sending my Sympathy and Prayers to her Family. God gained and Angel. RIP Dianne.
The best of times was going to Grandpas , where Aunt Dianne would done our Mickey Mouse ears and watch the Mickey Mouse Club where both of us were members. A couple of other things are her love of horses, Grandpa built her a wooden horse as there was not any room at home for a real one. When old enough she got a job being a horseback trail guide at Hradsky's farm. She also held bible school for the neighborhood kids on baker street.
