Dianne Kay Maynard's Obituary
Dianne Kay Maynard, age 66, passed away at Angela Hospice in Livonia, MI on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 where she was supported by her family. Dianne was born on November 25, 1955, in Muskegon, MI, to her parents, Melvin and Patricia (Williams) Maynard. She graduated from Muskegon High School and went on to study at Western Michigan University and graduated with a Metallurgical Engineering degree from Michigan Technological University. Dianne moved to the Detroit area where she worked for Masco Industries, and most recently for DTE Energy specializing in failure analysis. Dianne loved to travel, and was particularly proud of filling 3 national park passport books. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Ann Arbor, where she sang in the choir. She also sang in the choir for Plymouth Oratorio Society and performed at New York’s Carnegie Hall. Dianne will be lovingly remembered by her sister: Debra (David) Hilliard, brothers, David (Amy) Maynard, and Daniel (Sandy) Maynard; seven nieces and nephews: David II (Jenna), Brittany (TJ), Marci (Matthew), Emily (Justin), Danni, Kelli, and Cami; seven great-nieces and nephews; aunt, Mary (Bill) Brandenburg. She was preceded in death by her parents. A FUNERAL for Dianne will be taking place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 28 at First Baptist Church in Muskegon (1070 Quarterline Rd, Muskegon, MI 49442), with visitation taking place one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dianne’s memory can be made out to First Baptist Church.
