Diannetta Florence Gillette's Obituary
Diannetta Florence Gillette, age 99, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on May 27, 1924, to Walter and Rhea (Ward) Krueger in White Cloud, MI. Diannetta worked several jobs during her long life, but retired in 1986 from White Cloud Products. She was independent and knew what it took to work hard from a very young age. Diannetta saw her first movie at age nine and was milking and tending the cows by age twelve, waking up at 4:30am before going to school. Many people remember her saying “had a hard life, but a good life.” SURVIVORS include five children, Caron Tobey, Judi Rottman, Joan Raap, Duane Gillette and Etta Gillette; brother, Larry Krueger; sisters, Sally Krueger and Geannie Schroeder, a host of grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren who were all the sunshine in her life. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Keur; second husband, Thornton Gillette; siblings, Christian Krueger, Walter Krueger Jr., Charles Krueger, Allen Krueger, Robert Krueger, Harry Krueger, Barbara Barber and Donna Chupp. Following Dianetta’s wishes, there will be a private family graveside service held at Egelston Township Cemetery.
