Mr. Dick Bryan Parker's Obituary
Dick Parker, age 68, passed away on Thursday May 26, 2016. He was born on December 7, 1947 to Howard and Madge Parker. In 1966, he married the love of his life, Sharon Gerst. Dick was a self-employed Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner. He was also the Clerk of Blue Lake Township. Dick was an avid bear hunter and a member of the U.P. Bear Houndsman Association. Family always came first for Dick. He was a strong-willed, dedicated, protective husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Dick is survived by his wife Sharon; children: Shelley (Dave) Lyngklip, Carol Parker, Karen (Wesley) Farr, and Richard (Brandy) Parker; grandchildren: Erica, Raymond, Christine, Thomas, Reece, Jonathon, Madilyn, Abigail, and Cash; and brothers: Jack, Mike, and Steve. He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughters: Samantha and Sophia. As Dick would say “Bye, love you, bye” A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held on the 50th wedding anniversary of Dick and Sharon on Saturday June 25, 2016 at 1pm at the Blue Lake Community Church, 10981 Blue Lake Rd. Memorial contributions can be made to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
