Dolores J. Ankeny's Obituary
Mrs. Dolores J. Ankeny, age 85, passed away at home on Sunday, January 4, 2015. She was born on March 18, 1929 in Muskegon to Fred and Julia (Mousseau) Tardy, and resided in the area all of her life. Dolores worked for Muskegon Public Schools for 15 years, before retiring in 1992. On July 12, 1991, she married James “Ted” Ankeny, and he survives her along with 4 children, Cherie (Joe) Wasnalas of Denver, CO, Allan (Karla) Johnson, Lynn (Bill) Boyd and Terry (Colleen) Johnson all of North Muskegon; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. Dolores was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Shepherd; and sister, Anita Breitwisch; and Joseph Johnson, the father of their children. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11AM Wednesday, January 7 at The Lee Chapel, 6291, S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Tuesday and 1 hour prior to the service.
