Dolores F. Bizon's Obituary
Mrs. Dolores F. Bizon, age 90, of Spring Lake passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025. She was born January 29, 1935, in Dearborn, MI to Edmund and Teofila (Buczynski) Graye. On November 24, 1955, she married Raymond Bizon in Detroit, and he preceded her in death on June 25, 2004.
Dolores was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spring Lake since 1975 where she was very active. She enjoyed cooking for many events including funeral luncheons; instructing CCD classes, being a member of the Women’s Club and Homebound Ministry. She made thousands of rosaries with “Our Ladies Rosary Makers” of Grand Rapids, which were sent all over the world. After graduating from St. Mary’s High School, in Royal Oak, MI, she was active in the “Forget Me Not” club. She received a diploma from Virginia Farrell Academy Del-Mar Beauty School. She was a Girl Scout Leader, member of “Polka Melodies Booster” club, and the American Legion Post #28 in Grand Haven. Her occupations included hair stylist, and school cafeteria cashier. Her family, friends, faith, and church were her life, and she enjoyed being involved with all of them as they have grown, especially her grandkids’ activities and sports.
Dolores is survived by five children: Raymond (Krys) Bizon, Mary (Bob) Greene, Theresa Bizon, Dan (Debra) Bizon, and Steve (Denise) Bizon; eleven grandchildren: Jeremy, Starr, Bob, Monica, Kristie, Parker, Blake, Emily, Angela, Cindy, and Jessica; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; sisters: Helen (Arnold) Kreft, Collette (Larry) Prentke; brother: Bob Graye; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; great-grandson, Joshua; sister, Marie Niewinski; brother, Edmund Graye, Jr, and brother in law, Al Niewinski.
A Catholic Mass will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spring Lake. A rosary will be said at 10:00 AM before the 11:00 AM mass at the church. Luncheon at the church following the mass. Interment will take place in Spring Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Dolores may be given to Our Lady’s Rosary Makers ℅ Micheal Despres, 4983 Brownstone Dr NE, Rockford, MI 49341 or St. Mary’s Parish.
