Dolores J. Jones' Obituary
Mrs. Dolores J. Jones, age 82, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Grand Pines Assisted Living. She was born on May 14, 1931 to Brenton and Myrtle (Hollar) Holcomb in Muskegon. Dolores was a member of Community United Methodist Church. She worked at Applied Instruments, the family business started by her husband in 1976. Dolores enjoyed quilting, painting and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren. On December 8, 1950, she married Marion Lee Jones and he survives her along with 2 children, Jackie (Paul) Twa of Spring Lake and Larry (Diane) Jones of Norton Shores; 4 grandchildren, Brad (Julie) Jones, Shane (Angie) Zander, Carmen (Willis) Goodenough, and Tracie Zimmer; step-grandchildren, Nathan (Tiffany) Twa and Brandon Twa; and brother, Daniel (Avis) Holcomb. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael and 2 sisters, Beverly (Don) Bentley and Sharon Cook. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Community United Methodist Church, 1614 Ruddiman Dr., N. Muskegon, with Pastor Phil Friedrick officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 MEMORIALS to Hospice of North Ottawa would be appreciated. BURIAL will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
