Mrs Dolores Emma Kecskes' Obituary
Mrs. Dolores Emma “Midge” Kecskes, age 77, passed away from cancer at the Hospice Poppin Residence in Fruitport, Saturday, December 17, 2016. She was born on April 19, 1939 in Muskegon to Herbert and Margaret (Parnell) Mackenzie. Following graduation from Muskegon High School in 1957 she joined the Navy and on October 10, 1959 she married Joseph Kecskes. Midge went on to graduate from San Jose City College with her degree in Anthropology and later received her BS degree in Nursing from San Jose State College. Following her husband’s retirement from the United States Marine Corps, they settled in San Jose, California and raised their family. During this time she worked at NASA as a nurse and also at Alexian Brothers Hospital as well as Regional hospital for 20 years. After her retirement from Nursing, Midge moved back to Muskegon. SURVIVORS include her daughter, Deborah Kecskes of Muskegon and her son William Kecskes of California; grandchildren, Kristopher, Trevor, Phylicia, Matthew, Carrie, Michael, and a great granddaughter, Gabriella; sister, Ann (Tom) Woodin and Linda White; brothers, Mike (Nancy) Mackenzie, Pat(Thelma) Mackenzie, Sam Mackenzie, Jerry (Anita) Decoster, and her beloved dog Lucy. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, 2 sons, Eric and Greg, her brother John, her parents, Herbert and Margaret Mackenzie and her beloved grandparents, Samuel and Delores Mackenzie.
