Mr Donald Robert Aylsworth's Obituary
Mr. Donald Robert Aylsworth, age 80, passed away surrounded by his family on January 20, 2014. Don was born on April 30, 1933 to Donald and Bernice Aylsworth. In 1959, he married the former Dorthea Jeppesen, and together they were blessed with 2 children. Don worked for Muskegon Public Schools, including Wesley School for over 30 years before retiring in 1998. He served his country in the United States Navy, was a member of McGraft Memorial Congregational Church, American Legion Post 9, and belonged to the Masonic Temple. Don most enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, and wrote encouraging words to all who touched his heart. He will be deeply missed. SURVIVORS include his wife Dorthea; 2 daughters, Heather (Larry) Robinson and Susan Aylsworth; 6 grandchildren, Andrea (Casey) Webber, Brittney (Drew) Weavers, Ashley Tudor, Dakota Robinson and Nicole Robinson; 3 great-grandchildren, Riley Garlock, Kira Webber and Jadelynn Webber. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Aylsworth; and granddaughter, Erika Tudor. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 2pm on Monday, January 27, 2014 at McGraft Memorial Congregational Church, 1617 Palmer Ave., Muskegon, with Rev. Mark Nieuwsma officiating. VISITATION will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 at The Walburn Chapel 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS can be made to the COPD Foundation.
