Mr Donald Nelson Boven's Obituary
Donald Nelson Boven passed away at home on Saturday June 8th 2013. He was 67 years old. Don was born on September 1, 1945 to Thomas and Mary (Boughton) Boven. He married the former Barbara Weddle in 1965 and they enjoyed almost 50 years of marriage together. Don worked as a surveyor at the Muskegon County Road Commission for 30 years before retiring in 2001. Don and Barb attended Mona Shores Baptist Church. Don had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting as well as bowling and many other sports. He was a giving, loving, caring individual who will be deeply missed. SURVIVORS include his wife Barbara; daughter Laurie (Jesse) Jaeger; grandchildren David, Michael, Steven, Grace, and Samuel Jaeger; 1 brother Thomas Boven; and 2 sisters Gail (Frank) Heath, and Cynthia Cooper. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Phillip Donald Boven. SERVICES will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday June 12th 2013 at Mona Shores Baptist Church, 3800 Lake Harbor Rd, with Pastor Andy Husmann and Pastor Thomas Siefert officiating. VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Parkinson’s Disease Association or the Mona Shores Baptist Church.
