We have always been greeted by Don and Janet with smiles, hugs and so much Love.
We Thank you for sharing your lives, laughter, encouragement and wisdom, and Love for our Lord Jesus with us through the years. It has truly been such Joy to have you both as part of our lives! We know Don is dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
And the next time we see him, he will have a healthy and strong, glorified body!

My wife and I met Don for the first time last month on October the 13th in a very unusual way. In that short period of time we had the opportunity and the pleasure to visit with him on at least seven different occasions. The first day that I met him I realized that he was a man used greatly of God. He prayed specifically for me on two different occasions with an honest heart and a genuine power. I had told him more than once that he needed to stay around to teach me more about the Lord. Yet, it seemed good for him to go on to see our Lord face-to-face. We will certainly miss his fellowship, but I’m pleased to know that Don is now included in that great cloud of faith witnesses spoken of in Hebrews 12:1. May God’s peace rest upon his family during this time.

First, I send my condolences to everyone experiencing this great loss. The world lost a wonderful man in losing Donald Burrous. A remarkable example of what a true man of God should be. Secondly, I will be forever grateful for having been a part of his life. His jokes, his smiles, his stories, his faith, his dedication as a husband and loving father are all things I will never forget about him. I will also always hold dear to my heart the many days he spent teaching me to hunt, the many times he has prayed for me, and will always hear him in my mind when I think of Florida's House. I miss you Don.

Aunt Janet and family, I'm so sorry for your loss, yet so glad that we have a hope of heaven and seeing Uncle Don and our loved ones again in paradise. And, I'm glad that this is a hope we can all share and comfort each other with together as a family.
I didn't get to know spend the kind of time with Uncle Don that I wish I could have, yet every time I saw him, he treated me like a son. His heart was for his Savior, for his family, and for people. Besides his sincere love for Jesus, I think the memory I will always cherish about him is his laugh. He loved to laugh, and just being around him made people feel happy. I'm so glad that I got to experience that, and so sorry that you have to go without his hearing his laugh for a short time.
